CHAPLET IN CHANT: Help Us Pray for Pope Benedict!

LivingMercy_BannerSM2

Dear Friends,

Ash Wednesday greetings and blessings to you all!  Thanks again for all your help in gathering people for our videotaping for the Chaplet in Chant.  We are now less than two weeks away from our event!

In an earlier e-blast, I wrote that our taping will be much more than a simple video production.  With the recent announcement of his retirement by our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, our gathering will be all the timelier.

It is clear that we have a unique, grace-filled opportunity!  Together with priests, deacons, seminarians and people from across South Louisiana, we will ask Our Lord to pour out His Divine Mercy not only upon us and all our program’s future viewers, but also upon the “whole world,” especially upon Pope Benedict and the College of Cardinals who will be electing his successor only days after our taping!

If you have not already done so, please encourage as many people as possible to join us.  Seating is still available.  I know His Holiness and our Church will appreciate your efforts!  (I read a news story earlier today, which reported Pope Benedict could “feel” our prayers for him!)

Taping will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.  Please try to get to the Cathedral early, in order find a parking space.  The Cathedral lot will be open and reserved for our participants.  Because our taping is on Saturday, free parking on the surrounding streets will also be available. NOTE: The Red Stick Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturdays next door to the Cathedral.  Please take into account, when planning your arrival time/parking.

I know you all know this, but just in case…Please make sure everyone dresses appropriately for a Church service.  Also, please bring your rosaries.

Next week in my final e-blast to you, I will be sending you the link to the script, so you will know the program’s format in advance of the taping.  If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please let me know as soon as possible.

As a courtesy to the Cathedral staff, please try to let me know an approximate number who may attend.  I know there is no way to predict exactly who may come, but it would be a big help in our preparation.  Thanks!

Until that time, may you and yours have a blessed Lent.  Let’s keep everyone in prayer!

P.S.  If you haven’t had the chance to sign up for our taping, here’s our website, which includes a link to the registration page:  http://conta.cc/131YSNZ

Blessings in His Divine Mercy,
